West Bromwich Albion sit 13th in the Premier League after their opening eleven matches.
It has been a mixed start to their 2016/7 campaign for West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies are yet to record back-to-back wins and promising results have been followed by underwhelming ones.
So here are Albion’s low and high point of the season so far:
Low Point – Bournemouth (A)
Albion’s trip to the south coast was a day to forget. Apart from a brief second-half spell, the Baggies endured an exasperating afternoon at the Vitality Stadium, as Callum Wilson’s late strike handed the Cherries all three points.
However, it was Albion’s lack of response to going behind that made this defeat so hard to take. Bournemouth comfortably closed out the game with Tony Pulis’s side looking void of ideas and unable to get the ball back from their opponents.
On the final whistle, the travelling supporters directed their frustration at Pulis with a less than complimentary chant about his style of football.
High Point – West Ham (H)
West Brom’s win over West Ham saw them score more than three goals in a league game for the first time under Tony Pulis.
Nacer Chadli’s dream debut helped Albion’s manager emphatically answer his critics following the defeat to Bournemouth.
Importantly, it also provided a much needed lift to the Hawthorns crowd, as the Baggies recorded their first home win since March.
