Find out how the Football Manager 2017 winter update has affected Everton’s player ratings.

Football Manager 2017, the latest in the popular football management simulation series, released its winter update this week. As Everton continue to push forward under Ronald Koeman, let’s take a look at how Football Manager have rated their progress:

Improvement

Idrissa Gueye is now Everton’s second highest rated player on the game after making an impressive start to life at Goodison Park. The midfielder is only behind free-scoring striker Romelu Lukaku, who also received a boost to his FM17 stats on the winter update.

18-year-old Tom Davies is beginning to turn heads with his performances in Ronald Koeman’s side. The youngster received the biggest increase in ability out of the Everton squad.

Meanwhile, there were smaller improvements made to the attributes of Yannick Bolasie, Joel Robles and Gareth Barry.

No improvement

Despite Everton’s form in recent weeks, the majority of their senior squad have kept the same ability or seen a noticeable decrease.

Seamus Coleman has been ever-present for the Toffees in the league since September, but his form hasn’t been reflected in a boost to his FM17 stats. Whereas, fellow fullback Leighton Baines’ stats have decreased slightly.

Ross Barkley, whose ability on the game has remained the same, is now Everton’s third highest rated player after Kevin Mirallas, James McCarthy and Gerard Deluofeu had their attributes lowered.

Phil Jagielka, Ramiro Funes Mori, Ashley Williams and Aaron Lennon have also seen their stats drop on the FM17 winter update.
