Burnley fans have predicted Ashley Barnes’ red card for some time.
Burnley picked up their second away point of the season after coming from a goal behind against Hull City.
The hosts were awarded a penalty after Burnley defender Michael Keane handled the ball in the area. Tom Huddlestone converted the 72nd-minute penalty despite Tom Heaton agonisingly close efforts to keep it out.
It only took a few minutes for the Clarets to hit back as Keane popped up in the other box to fire home from Robbie Brady’s corner.
Clarets forward Ashley Barnes saw red for a second bookable offence late on the game, but Sean Dyche’s side held on to secure their first point on the road since the goalless draw at Old Trafford in October.
One of the main talking points among Burnley supporters on Twitter after the game was Barnes’ late dismissal. The last time the forward saw red was almost two years ago in the 1-0 defeat away to Everton.
