We take a look at Watford’s end of season form over the last three seasons.

2013/4

W 3 D 3 L 4

Points: 12

An underwhelming run in meant Watford ended their 2013/4 Championship campaign in 13th.

Guiseppe Sannino’s side recorded comfortable wins over Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds United and Ipswich Town before a run of four defeats in their remaining fixtures changed the mood at Vicarage Road. This included the 4-1 home defeat to Huddersfield Town on the final day of the season.

2014/5

W 7 D 2 L 1

Points: 23

Seven wins from their final ten games saw Slavisa Jokanovic’s men clinch second place and a spot in the Premier League.

The Hornets’ impressive form included wins over promotion rivals Middlesbrough and Brighton and Hove Albion. Their only slip up came in a 1-0 defeat to Ipswich Town at Vicarage Road.

2015/6

W 2 D 2 L 6

Points: 8

Quique Sanchez Flores’ time as Watford boss came to an end after his side failed to show signs of recovery from their post-December slump in form.

The Hornets did record wins over West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa before finishing the season with a 2-2 draw with Sunderland.

Despite their disappointing run in, Watford only dropped from 12th to 13th in the final ten games of the 2015/6 campaign.
