The Eagles won half of their remaining ten fixtures, including upsets against Chelsea and Everton, to take the club up to 11th place in the Premier League table. This run-in also featured the dramatic 3-3 draw with Liverpool which effectively ended the Reds’ title hopes.

Palace enjoyed a strong run in to finish in the top half of the Premier League.

A blip of four consecutive defeats for Alan Pardew’s men did threaten to put a damper on their final run of games following wins over Queens Park Rangers, Stoke City, Manchester City and Sunderland. But victories over Liverpool and Swansea City saw the Eagles leapfrog Everton and West Ham into 10th place.

Two wins from their final ten games was enough to secure Crystal Palace’s Premier League status.

The Eagles beat Stoke City in the penultimate round of fixtures to get over the 40-point mark after suffering defeats to Liverpool, Leicester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United.

Pardew’s side would head into their FA Cup final on the back of an emphatic 4-1 defeat away to Southampton.
