West Brom welcome West Ham to the Hawthorns this weekend. Here are 5 players who have played for both clubs.

1) Danny Gabbidon
The Welsh defender started his career with West Brom – making 20 appearances for the club. In 2000, it was clear that Gabbidon was surplus to requirements under Gary Megson and was soon sold to Cardiff City.
Gabbidon joined West Ham in 2005 and enjoyed a six-year spell with the Hammers, which included reaching the FA Cup final in 2006. He now plays for Welsh Division Three side Panteg AFC.
2) John Hartson
Another Welshman who played for both West Brom and West Ham is John Hartson. The big target man had an impressive goal ratio for West Ham from 1997 to 1999 – netting 24 league goals.
An infamous training ground incident with team-mate Eyal Berkovic overshadowed his achievements and he soon moved to Wimbledon.
Hartson’s spell with West Brom came at the end of his career and was not quite as impressive. He failed to make his mark for Tony Mowbray’s side and was released in January of 2008. A month later he retired from the game.

3) Nigel Quashie
Quashie signed for Bryan Robson’s West Brom side in January of 2006 but couldn’t prevent the club from dropping out of the Premier League. Quashie’s time at The Hawthorns was largely disappointing, and he was sold to West Ham after just a year at the club.
Unfortunately, injuries disrupted Quashie’s West Ham career and he was limited to 7 league appearances in three seasons. Quashie eventually left for Queens Park Rangers but injuries prevented him from recapturing his form.

4) Frank Nouble
Nouble began his youth career with Chelsea before making the move across London to West Ham. The young forward was sent out on loan to gain experience and the first of these moves was to the Hawthorns.
Nouble was limited to only 3 appearances for Roberto Di Matteo’s Championship side and moved to Swindon Town on loan a month later. Nouble never got his West Ham career going and ended his time at the Boleyn Ground with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2012. He recently played in China for Nei Mongol Zhongyou, and is currently a free agent.
5) Morgan Amalfitano
The Frenchman arrived at West Brom on loan from Marseille’s in the summer of 2013. Most memorably, he scored a wonderful goal at Old Trafford, as West Brom beat Manchester United 2-1.
Amalfitano’s inconsistency meant he didn’t make his move to the Midlands permanent but he did receive an offer from West Ham. His Hammers career suffered a similar fate and he was sent-off against his former side, as West Brom beat West Ham 4-0 in the FA Cup Fifth-Round.
His West Ham career was ended when he was exiled by Slaven Billic and in October of 2015 he was released. Amalfitano now plays in France for Lille.
