Neil Lennon was appointed the Celtic manager following Brendan Rodgers’s departure to Leicester City.
Lennon was appointed the Celtic manager in February 2019 following the departure of Brendan Rodgers to Leicester City in the Premier League.
The former Northern Ireland international midfielder has been given the managerial role at Celtic Park until the end of the season.
It is not yet clear if Lennon will be kept in his role at the Hoops beyond the season, but 24-year-old central defender has suggested that he wants the 47-year-old to be the manager beyond the summer.
Simunovic told The Scottish Sun about Lennon: “Things are going really well. It is all good. It’s not just me, I think the other players want it to happen too.
“But there are some things the players can’t decide, that is for others. But I would say all players are happy at the moment with the coaching staff.”
Celtic stay for Neil Lennon?
This is Lennon’s second spell as the Celtic manager, and he was brilliant and hugely successful the first time he was handed the Hoops’ job.
Lennon is tried and tested, and it does make sense for the Celtic board to hand him the managerial role on a permanent basis.
