Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic praises his teammate Kolo Toure.
Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic has told The Daily Record that he is still learning from his teammate Kolo Toure.
Toure joined Celtic in the summer transfer window after leaving Premier League club Liverpool at the end of the 2015-16 season.
The former Ivory Coast international has established himself as an important player for the Bhoys.
Despite being 35 years of age, the former Arsenal and Manchester City defender is playing well in the Scottish Premiership.
Simunovic, who is 22 years of age and plays as a centre-back, has praised Toure, and has said that he is learning from the veteran defender.
“I am still learning from Kolo Toure and he is a big, big player for the team,” Simunovic told The Daily Record. “I can only learn from a man with his experience.
“He is a very good guy, he communicates really well. All the time he wants to help and we discuss game situations. He wants to give us defenders the benefit of his experience and things are going well.”
Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 58 points from 20 matches.
The Hoops are 19 points clear of second-placed and Old Firm rivals Rangers and have a game in hand.
The Bhoys will return to action on January 22 when they take on Albion Rovers away from home at the Exsel Group Stadium in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
