According to Ben Jacobs, Wolves are now considering a move for Leonardo Jardim as they continue their hunt to replace Bruno Lage.
Wolves considering Leonardo Jardim
Well, Jacobs – a journalist for CBS Sports – believes Wolves have added the Portuguese coach to their shortlist after failing to hire their No.1 option Julen Lopetegui.
Rob Edwards – who was sacked by Watford at the end of September – has also been interviewed.
Jacobs believes Wolves are hoping to make an appointment by the end of the week, so if Jardim is interviewed and does well, he could arrive at Molineux within days.
The CBS Sports journalist adds that Sean Dyche is not in the running to replace Lage.
Jardim is currently working in the United Arab Emirates as manager of Shabab Al Ahli after leaving Al Hilal in February, and it remains to be seen if he would consider a move to the Midlands.
If he is tempted by the vacancy, Wolves would be getting themselves a coach with a glowing reputation.
Leonardo Jardim could work wonders at Wolves
In our view, Jardim has the ability to do a fine job at Molineux.
The 48-year-old hasn’t managed in Europe since leaving Monaco in 2019, although his efforts in France truly enhanced his reputation across the globe.
Jardim guided Monaco to their first league title in 17 years back in 2017, while also reaching the Champions League semi-final after creating a superteam consisting of Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Thomas Lemar and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The Barcelona-born tactician was named Ligue 1 Manager of the Year in 2017 for winning the title, with his achievement made all the more impressive seeing as PSG and their riches were strong favourites for the trophy.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Wolves aim to find a replacement for Lage this week.
