Christian Falk has a pretty good track record when it comes to Liverpool transfers.

Throughout last summer, the German journalist repeatedly claimed that Liverpool would be signing Thiago Alcantara [Off the Ball], even when more regional publications like The Echo consistently stated that the Spain international wouldn’t be joining the Reds from Bayern Munich.

As far as German football rumours go, Falk is a pretty reliable figure – and now he claims another player is keen on joining the Anfield club.

Falk told his Bayern Insider podcast that Florian Neuhaus has his heart set on a move to Jurgen Klopp’s side during the summer transfer window.

Kicker reported in February that Liverpool were keen on the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder – valued at £40 million [Tuttomercatoweb] and if the Bild journalist is right, the feeling is very much mutual.

Klopp is probably going to need new midfielders once the transfer window opens because not only is Gini Wijnaldum set to leave on a Bosman, but the likes of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain look like being poor signings and could leave Merseyside.
