The Kingsley Coman to Liverpool rumours are gathering a bit of pace.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Bayern Munich winger quite a bit in recent weeks.

According to Sport1 in Germany, the Reds have even made contact over signing the France international.

Jurgen Klopp could probably do with additional wide support this summer after an uncharacteristically poor season from Sadio Mane last time around.

And Bild journalist Christian Falk has revealed that he would probably cost the Reds a club-record amount of £77 million, which even the player himself – who is contracted for only another two years – believes is an unrealistic valuation.

Reliable

Falk is just about as reliable as they come over matters regarding Bayern players.

Even when big publications like The Liverpool Echo were repeatedly claiming that a move for Thiago Alcantara wouldn’t happen last summer, the German journalist consistently predicated that it would.

Ten days before it officially happened, Falk told Empire of the Kop: “So far, no club is ready to pay that amount. But on the specific question: yes, I think he will go to Liverpool.”

Falk is – as the kids say – a tier one source and if what he’s heard about Coman’s price-tag is true, Virgil van Dijk, a £75 million signing three-and-a-half years ago, may not be Liverpool’s most expensive player for much longer if the Frenchman arrives.
