CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs has told Give Me Sport that Tottenham are “exploring” a move to re-sign Kyle Walker-Peters from Southampton – but will face competition from North London rivals Arsenal in pursuit.
Walker-Peters, 25, left Tottenham in 2020 to join Southampton and managing just 24 senior outings for Spurs. Since then, he has thrived on the south coast, playing 82 times in all competitions in just two seasons.

That is, after an initial loan in January 2020. His time at Southampton has seen him become an England international and now, he could earn a big-money move this summer. Reports state that Arsenal are among his admirers.
But The Athletic also state that Manchester United are keen, while Tottenham have a buyback clause of £30million. Now, Jacobs actually says Tottenham are looking at a deal to bring Walker-Peters back to the club this summer.
“Arsenal are keeping tabs on Walker-Peters. Tottenham are exploring re-signing Walker-Peters. Whoever lands him will land a tremendous player. He was one of the best right-backs in the Premier League last season.”

Tottenham need a right wing-back. Djed Spence remains the club’s main target, but a deal is beginning to drag on as the two parties differ in terms of asking price. Spurs could now look elsewhere.
Where better than bringing back an academy product of their own? Walker-Peters is in superb form, proving that he has the quality to make it at a club like Tottenham. Spurs need him more than Arsenal and Manchester United.
The latter have Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diego Dalot, Arsenal have Takehiro Tomiyasu, Hector Bellerin and Cedric Soares. Emerson Royal struggled in South Korea on Wednesday and he needs replacing.
