Fabio Paratici quit his role as Director of Football at Tottenham on Friday morning after losing his appeal against FIFA’s 30-month ban.
The Italian was found guilty of false accounting during his time at Juventus.
Now – thanks to Matt Law of the Telegraph – one of Paratici’s final acts at Spurs has been brought to light.
What’s the story?
Well, it is said that one of Paratici‘s last decisions as Director of Football at Tottenham was to convince Daniel Levy to keep Cristian Stellini in N17 and hand him the reins after sacking Antonio Conte.
It hasn’t exactly worked out well for Spurs.
Stellini has overseen a disappointing 1-1 draw against Everton and a 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth in his three games in charge so far, winning the other clash with a 2-1 victory over Brighton, albeit in very fortunate circumstances.
Tottenham fans are basically still watching a Conte side without the 53-year-old orchestrating things from the dugout.

Very little has changed since Levy handed him his P45 after that 3-3 draw against Southampton.
Despite the mess Paratici has left behind, it is a positive for Tottenham fans that the 50-year-old is now gone.
It means Spurs can actually begin to plan for life after Conte with Scott Munn shortly arriving as Chief Football Officer – the Australian will replace Paratici and also head up a number of departments.
Fabio Paratici failed at Tottenham
While the signings of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur were excellent deals, Paratici largely failed at Spurs.
The Italian’s bizarre approach to hiring new managers has left Tottenham searching for their third permanent boss since 2021.
Football London believe it was Paratici who pushed hard for Nuno Espirito Santo to be hired, convincing Levy that the Portuguese coach would bring slick, attacking football to N17.
Nuno has rarely displayed such a style in his previous roles, and he unsurprisingly failed to get Tottenham going – after just four months, Conte arrived to replace him.
It has been a strange period for Spurs with Paratici working as Director of Football – hopefully, Munn can bring better days back to Tottenham.
