Speaking to Anfield Watch, David Lynch has provided updates on the futures of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
The famous Liverpool front three have been stars at Anfield for years now, but it seems as though the band will soon be disbanded.
Indeed, all three players’ contracts will be coming to an end next summer, and according to Lynch, one source has told him that only two of the trio will be kept on.
What’s been said?
Lynch was asked about Mane and Firmino’s contract situations.
“Again, this is one I don’t expect any progress on until the summer given it is ultimately tied to what happens with Salah. One source recently told me that, at best, only two of the out-of-contract front three (Salah, Mane, Firmino) are likely to end up staying,” Lynch said.
“In that context, it’s easy to see why there’d be a delay on sorting Mane’s situation while Salah – who they’d obviously most like to keep – remains in negotiations over a new deal.”

Priorities
If Liverpool are resigned to losing one of their famous front three, then they need to have their priorities in order.
Mohamed Salah is, of course, the one they should be the most desperate to keep. He’s arguably the best player in the world right now and he’s the Reds’ top scorer.
Sadio Mane should be the next priority. While Luis Diaz is a fantastic backup, Mane is still a vital cog in this team.
Roberto Firmino, sadly, is probably the one player Liverpool wouldn’t miss too much if he left. Diogo Jota has taken his place as a regular starter, while Mane is also more than capable of playing down the middle.
We hate to say it, but Firmino’s Liverpool career could be entering its final chapter.
