Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, journalist Ian McGarry has claimed that Tottenham are yet to respond to Inter Milan offering them the chance to bring Christian Eriksen back to the club, be that on loan, or on a permanent deal.

The London club have long-been linked with a move for the Danish midfielder, but according to the Transfer Window Podcast, he’s now been offered to Manchester United.

The journalist was talking about a potential move to Old Trafford for Eriksen when he claimed that Spurs haven’t responded to any of Inter’s correspondence about Eriksen.

“I’d be surprised Duncan, given Eriksen’s record in English football, if there wasn’t more than one suitor,” McGarry said

“It is our information that Tottenham have effectively not responded to any overtures in regards to taking him back.”

It’s certainly interesting to hear that Spurs haven’t responded to Inter here.

Perhaps they’re leaving the door open for if they become desparate later in the window, or perhaps they’re that uninterested in a potential move.

Spurs of course sold Eriksen this time last year in a deal worth £17 million, and a return to north London would certainly be spectacular for the Dane.

Whether or not this story develops more towards the end of the window remains to be seen, but it seems as though Spurs are being patient with this one.
