Speaking on his YouTube channel, Express journalist Ryan Taylor has been discussing Tottenham’s pursuit of a new attacker.

Spurs already have one of the most fearsome front threes in England with Heung-Min Son, Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski, but with Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura seemingly on their way out, Tottenham are looking to add more depth to their attack.

The north London club have been linked with both Raphinha and Richarlison as of late, but according to Taylor, the winger Tottenham are looking at alongside Richarlison is Allan Saint-Maximin.

What’s been said?

Taylor spoke about Spurs and their interest in Saint-Maximin.

“They want to clear the decks so they can reinvest that money. They will target another forward, Allan Saint-Maximin and Richarlison are the two names of interest at the moment. The interesting element of the Richarlison links are that Everton have been earmarked as potential suitors for Bergwijn, so there is the hypothetical potential of a swap deal, so there is potential leverage there,” Taylor said.

Toughest target

Saint-Maximin may be the most exciting attacker Tottenham have been linked to, but he’s also arguably the most unattainable off all of their targets listed.

Raphinha and Richarlison will surely both want to move onto bigger and better things after narrowly avoiding relegation with Leeds and Everton, while Saint-Maximin seems very settled in a Newcastle side that are on the up.

Indeed, the Magpies’ new-found status as the richest club in the world will surely see them challenging for top honours in the near future, and as a cult hero at the club, Saint-Maximin will surely want to be a part of that.

It will be interesting to see which attacker Tottenham end up with.
