Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey has been discussing Jude Bellingham’s future.
The English midfielder is the talk of the transfer market at the moment as almost every elite club in Europe is vying for his signature.
Liverpool are amongst the frontrunners in this race, but according to Bailey, they face massive competition from Real Madrid.
Indeed, the journalist claims that Los Blancos are doing everything they can to try and get the Borussia Dortmund midfielder to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid want Bellingham
Bailey shared what he knows about Bellingham and Madrid.
“No decision has been made, but we have had confirmation from Real Madrid’s end that they are doing everything they can to make sure Jude Bellingham knows that he has an option to come to Madrid and they’re very good at putting these plans in place,” Bailey said.
“Madrid want Bellingham 100 per cent they do, they’re in the competition. Liverpool want him too but with Liverpool I wonder if it gets too expensive for them at some point.”
Hard to compete
Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world, but let’s be honest, any team would struggle to compete with Real Madrid in a transfer race.
The 14-time European champions are historically the most successful and prestigious team on the planet, and when they come calling, it’s almost impossible to turn them down.
As an Englishman, Bellingham may be itching to play in the Premier League, so that may give Liverpool an edge, but let’s be honest, there aren’t many players who would turn down a move to Real Madrid if the opportunity presented itself.
