Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing Oleksandr Zinchenko and his proposed move to Arsenal.
According to Romano, the Ukrainian is set to sign for Arsenal in the coming days, and the journalist says that Mikel Arteta is more than happy with this signing.
In fact, the reporter states that the Arsenal manager is obsessed with the Manchester City man, claiming that the gaffer is convinced that Zinchenko will be a key player for the Gunners.
What’s been said?
Romano discussed Zinchenko and Arteta’s view of the 25-year-old.
“For Zinchenko it is a done deal. Zinchenko will be a new Arsenal player, they have an agreement, the player could leave Man City’s training camp today to join Arsenal and do his medicals. A four year deal, £30m deal with add-ons. Arteta is obsessed with him and he’s convinced that he will be a key player for the project,” Romano said.

Where will he play?
Arteta is reportedly convinced that Zinchenko will be a key player for Arsenal this season, but we’re struggling to figure out where he’ll even play.
Of course, the Premier League winner has been most notably used as a left-back at Manchester City, but he came through as a midfield player and he plays in the centre of the park for his country.
To be honest, playing in the midfield would make the most sense at Arsenal. After all, Kieran Tierney does an absolutely stellar job at left-back, while, with all due respect, Granit Xhaka hasn’t been the most trustworthy of servants for Arsenal.
Zinchenko’s versatility means he can play almost anywhere on the pitch, but, in our view, if Arteta views him as a key player, he’ll be playing in the midfield.
