Speaking on his YouTube channel, Goal journalist Charles Watts has been discussing Youri Tielemans and his proposed move to Arsenal.
The Belgian midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to the Gunners for some time now, but as of yet, we’ve had no real concrete updates on this transfer progressing beyond initial talks with his agents.
However, according to Watts, this one may progress rather quickly now that the international break is finished.
What’s been said?
Watts spoke about Tielemans and Arsenal.
“Now we’re at the stage where they’ll have to talk to Leicester and get a deal done. I think we’ll see that progress fairly quickly from this point because he’s a player Arsenal want. They haven’t been able to do much so far because of his international commitments, but it’s now decision time. No massive updates, but this is one that I expect to begin to move forward now,” Watts said.

Straightforward
This should be one of the more straightforward transfers of the upcoming window.
Indeed, Tielemans wants to leave Leicester, Arsenal want Tielemans, they can afford him and he’s keen to move to London.
This seems like a win-win for all parties involved, and you have to imagine that it’s just a matter of time before the ‘special’ midfielder is posing in a red shirt after signing for Arsenal.
It’s rare that Arsenal don’t make things complicated with a transfer, especially from another Premier League club, but this one shouldn’t be too difficult, even for the Gunners.
