Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Dean Jones has shared a bit of insight into Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer plans.
The London club have a new manager and with a new manager comes new ideas.
Inevitably, new ideas mean that a club needs new players in order to implement them, and Jones is led to believe that Spurs will bring a couple of players in this summer.
He says that any players Tottenham bring in will likely be from Italy due to Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte’s links to Serie A.

Jones says that Spurs are likely to do most of their shopping in Italy.
“Ultimately, they’re going to be shopping in Italy because that’s where all of their connections are, almost all of their signings will come from there at any big level because that’s where all the knowledge is and the connections are at Tottenham right now,” Jones said.
“We’re already seeing that he’s going to be linked with pretty much anyone he worked with at Inter and any Serie A player who becomes available or is in good form like Vlahovic or any player like that. There will be some business and that was part of the terms of Conte coming in that he’ll be able to strengthen the team as needed.”
Makes sense
It sounds as though Spurs will look to buy players from Italy and that is a strategy that seems to make a lot of sense.
Conte knows everything there is to know about Serie A, while Fabio Paratici is the same, so if there are bargains to be had in Italy, Spurs will certainly be well aware of any good deals.
The likes of Dusan Vlahovic and Lautaro Martinez have already been linked, so let’s see what the London club do in January.
