Speaking on his YouTube channel, Charles Watts has been discussing Arsenal, Victor Osimhen and Gabriel Jesus.
It’s no secret that Arsenal are in the market for a new striker this summer, and they Gunners have been linked with plenty of forward options from Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Gianluca Scamacca.
However, it seems as though the number one candidate to fill the void left behind by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette at Arsenal is Gabriel Jesus.
Jesus is reportedly Arsenal’s number one target, and according to Watts, he’s their ‘absolute priority’, but if such a deal doesn’t come to fruition, he says that we can’t rule out a move for Osimhen.
What’s been said?
Watts spoke about Jesus and Osimhen.
“As far as I’m aware Jesus is absolutely Arsenal’s priority, but whether or not they have to turn to option, B, C or even D remains to be seen, but Jesus remains a priority. As for Arsenal’s chances of signing Osimhen, I wouldn’t say they’re great, but I can’t rule it out, and the fact they have held talks about him show that he’s a target,” Watts said.

Not a bad option
Arsenal clearly want to sign Jesus, but Osimhen certainly isn’t a bad backup option if they can’t land the Brazilian.
Indeed, the Nigerian has been in fine form this season, scoring 14 goals in Serie A, and if he was trusted to be the focal point of this young and pacy Arsenal attack, he could score for fun.
At the moment, a move seems unlikely as Arsenal are very keen on Jesus, but don’t be shocked if his name is mentioned again if the Gunners can’t persuade the Manchester City attacker to join the club.
