Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is reportedly fully fit ahead of pre-season after the Ghanian international missed the final matches of the Premier League season, with Kieran Tierney also back from injury.
Goal journalist Charles Watts revealed on his YouTube channel that the Arsenal duo are set to feature for the north London side this summer in pre-season, with Partey and Tierney both missing the last games of last season due to injuries that played a massive role in the north London side missing out on top four.
Partey was arguably Arsenal’s best midfielder last season as the former Atletico Madrid star formed an incredible relationship with Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard in the centre of the park, whilst Tierney’s absence was also hugely felt at left-back as Nuno Tavares was unable to match the Scotsman’s level of performances.
The pair are two of Arsenal’s most important players, with Mikel Arteta playing the left-back and the £45m midfielder at every possible opportunity, and their absences were vital in the Gunners’ late-season collapse as Tottenham pipped them to fourth place.
Indeed, Partey and Tierney’s fitness will be key to Arsenal’s success next season, yet with the pair now set to feature this summer in friendlies in Germany and the United States, it is already an encouraging start for the Gunners.
Watts said about Partey and Tierney’s injuries: “From what I understand, they are both fine. Thomas Partey is fine by all accounts. He didn’t play for Ghana in the summer, he is fully fit and ready for pre-season, and we think Tierney is the same.”
Arsenal must keep Partey and Tierney fit if they’re to succeed next season

Injuries are often the downfall for Arsenal’s success, yet last season took the cake as Partey and Tierney were ruled out for the final two months of the campaign in the span of a few hours, and for the 22/23 campaign, the Gunners must do all they can to keep the pair fit.
After all, the two players were some of the best for Arsenal last season as the north London side came within three points of finishing in fourth spot, and keeping Partey and Tierney injury-free will be the key to the Gunners finally returning to the UEFA Champions League.
