Speaking on the Kenn7 YouTube channel, Paul Joyce has been chatting about Jude Bellingham amid reported interest from Liverpool.

The Dortmund midfielder has been catching the eye over in Germany for a couple of years now, and inevitably, the Englishman has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Liverpool are known admirers of Bellingham, but Joyce says that a deal would be complicated for a couple of reasons.

For a start, the last figure Joyce was quoted was £100m for Bellingham, and that’s a massive amount of money.

On top of that massive asking price, Dortmund may also be hesitant to sell Bellingham in the same summer as Erling Haaland with the Norwegian looking destined to depart at the end of the season.

What’s been said?

Joyce shared what he knows about Bellingham.

“Jude Bellingham is of interest to a lot of clubs, but the price, the last figure I saw quoted was £100m, that doesn’t strike me, I think that complicates the interest in him, but also the Haaland situation. Dortmund usually sell one player per season, so to sell two key players, I don’t think they’d want to do that,” Joyce said.

One for the future

It seems as though a move for Bellingham isn’t on the cards this summer.

As Joyce says, Dortmund won’t want to sell the midfielder and Haaland in the same window, while Liverpool may not be able to afford £100m just months after spending big on Luis Diaz.

Let’s not forget that the Reds also need to keep some cash to one side to hand Mohamed Salah a new contract.

This one may be a deal for the future rather than this summer.
