Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) will not sell Newcastle United to buy Manchester United, according to journalist Ben Jacobs on Twitter.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that there is “no possibility” that PIF will “ditch” Newcastle and buy Premier League rivals Manchester United from the Glazers.
Jacobs has said that PIF see a massive earning potential at Newcastle and are pleased by the progress that the club have already made.
Newcastle are third in the Premier League table at the moment and could end up in the UEFA Champions League places this season.
Eddie Howe’s side were in danger of getting relegated at the end of last season.
Newcastle are owned by a consortium of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), PCP Capital Partners, and the Reuben Brothers.

The takeover was completed in October 2021.
The Glazers announced last month they are ready to sell Manchester United.
Manchester United are arguably the biggest club of England and are a global brand who have millions and millions of fans on the planet.
There have been suggestions that now that Manchester United are on the market, PIF could decide to sell Newcastle and buy the Red Devils, but, according to Jacobs, that is not the case.
