Speaking on The Totally Football Show, Athletic journalist Jack Pitt-Brooke has stated how likely he thinks a return to Tottenham is for Mauricio Pochettino.
Pitt-Brooke wrote a story on Thursday stating that Spurs were in talks with the Argentine and that he’s open to the move, but he doesn’t think that this one is overly-likely at the moment.
What’s he said?
Pitt-Brooke was appearing on the podcast to speak about the idea of Pochettino returning to Tottenham, and inevitably, he was asked how likely this move is.
“Jack, what percentage probability do you give this deal of happening?” The host asked.
“I’ve been thinking about that a lot this morning and I’ve not been able to commit to a figure. I’d say less than 50 per cent, but quite a lot more than zero as well,” Pitt-Brooke replied.

Don’t hold your breath
Tottenham may be keen to bring Poch back, but this move looks to be quite complicated.
Yes, the Argentine coming back to Spurs would be an incredible story and everyone at Spurs would probably love to see him return, but getting him out of PSG after just six months seems difficult.
Pochettino signed on with PSG for a reason, and it’s hard to imagine he’ll be ready to abandon the project after just six months in the job.
Of course, the deal isn’t impossible, Pitt-Brooke says it’s a much greater chance than zero per cent, but at a less than 50 per cent probability, Spurs fans shouldn’t be holding their breath waiting for an announcement.
