RAI Sport’s Ciro Venerato spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss about the future of Napoli’s Allan.
The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a move away from Italy for a while now. Everton have been very interested in signing Allan but it now looks like they aren’t the only ones lurking.
Cronache di Spogliatoio claimed last month that Everton were willing to hand Carlo Ancelotti’s former trusted midfield general £100,000-a-week contract. The report also claimed that the Toffees were prepared to pay £25 million for him which would have been a very good deal.
Venerato claimed that the Toffees now face a battle with two other Premier League sides with one of them possibly the favourites to land him.
He said as per Area Napoli: “Allan will go away and Nikola Vlasic can arrive who is a different player, more of a dribble. In this sense, it would seem that Napoli wants a midfielder with such characteristics and not Allan.”
“For the Brazilian, agent Jorge Mendes has also been included in the deal, who will try to bring him to the Premier League. There are Everton, Wolverhampton and another club.”
Mendes could push Allan away from Everton
Mendes has been the key difference-maker for Wolves over the last few seasons. The super-agent has helped the Wanderers sign a number of top quality players like Raul Jimenez, Ruben Neves and Adama Traore among others.

His affiliation with the club has helped them massively in terms of transfers and it is one of the biggest reasons why they are where they are this season.
Mendes’ influence could get them another player now. Allan would fit very well at Everton, but Wolves should be ahead of the Toffees in the race to sign him considering the agent’s involvement in the deal.
It will be a battle between Ancelotti and Mendes now for his signature. The other Premier League team interested hasn’t been mentioned but the two favourites at the moment has to be Everton and Wolves.
