According to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, West Ham United could make a move for Marseille striker Josh Maja.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that West Ham are looking for a new striker following the departure of Sebastien Haller to Ajax earlier this month.
Crook has claimed that Maja will be a cheaper option for the Hammers, who could make a move for the 22-year-old Nigeria international striker before the January transfer window closes.
Would Josh Maja be a good signing for West Ham United?
West Ham manager David Moyes known Maja well, having worked with the youngster at Sunderland.
The Nigeria international is still developing and progressing as a footballer, but given his potential and talent, he could be a good long-term signing for the Hammers.
However, West Ham need a more established striker who can make an immediate impact on the team.
According to WhoScored, the former Sunderland striker has made 11 starts and six substitute appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season, scoring two goals in the process.
During the 2019-20 campaign, the youngster scored six goals and gave two assists in 21 league games, according to WhoScored.
