Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott has been training in the Under-23’s so far this summer – but will join Nuno Espirito Santo’s first team very soon.
Nuno took charge of Tottenham training last week as players returned for pre-season under their new manager.
The likes of Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso have been away on international duty, so won’t be back in Tottenham training for a while yet.
Nuno has taken this opportunity to bring some young players into first-team training, with fans dazzled by Nile John’s display in a short training clip.
One young player who hasn’t appeared in first-team training yet is striker Troy Parrott, who is back with Tottenham after loan spells at Millwall and Ipswich Town.
Parrott hasn’t quite hit the heights many of expected of him so far, and struggled on loan at Millwall.
He did show more promise at Ipswich though, and at just 19 years old he still has plenty of time to develop and become a first-team player for Tottenham.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold now claims that Parrott has started pre-season with the Under-23’s, something fans may not have noticed.
Parrott will though join up with Nuno’s first team this week, joining fellow young striker Dane Scarlett in the preparations ahead of the new Premier League season.
“People might not have noticed, but from what I understand, I believe he’s been doing some work with the Under-23’s but is set to join up with the first team next week to get more involved in that,” said Gold. “I’m not entirely sure why that is,” he added before noting that Parrott is likely to go out on loan again.
