Speaking on The Done Deal Show, journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Tottenham are now interested in Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace.
Zaha is a proven commodity at this level, having starred for Palace for a number of years, and with Tottenham in the market for a new attacker, the Ivorian is on their radar.
What’s been said?
Jones gave an update on the attackers he’s heard Spurs are after this summer.
“What I’ve heard in the last few days is a few other players linked with Tottenham, that aren’t quite the same mould, I’ve heard Ismaila Sarr from Watford and Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, both players that Tottenham are looking at. It hasn’t gone very far yet, and perhaps Spurs won’t progress with that interest, but the fact that those names are being put forward, they are a different type of forward and it shows there are various ideas that Nuno is working on right now and that Spurs are trying to be flexible and versatile with their thinking,” Jones said.

Interesting
Zaha to Tottenham has been rumoured so many times, and it would have made sense at so many different points in history.
However, right now it’s hard to see where Zaha fits into this team.
Zaha is an incredibly fluid player, and it’s hard to say that he’d be a perfect fit for Nuno Espirito Santo’s system, and if Harry Kane is to leave, Spurs will need a striker with more firepower.
The Palace star may have been starring in the Premier League for a number of years, but he’s only got 47 goals at this level, and Spurs would need him to have a better output if he was to come to north London.
