Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Ian McGarry has been speaking about reported Liverpool target Paulo Dybala, claiming that he’s now being considered by Chelsea ahead of a potential summer move.

The Argentine is out of contract in the summer, and inevitably, that has led to plenty of speculation around the attacker’s future.

Liverpool have been strongly linked, but now, Chelsea are reportedly in the market for the Juventus forward.

What’s been said?

McGarry shared what he knows about Dybala.

“Paulo Dybala at Juventus has come onto their radar with regards to a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer, he is someone who has interested a number of European clubs over the last year or so having expressed some dissatisfaction with his playing time at Juve,” McGarry said.

Another Werner

It seems as though we could see another transfer tussle between Chelsea and Liverpool akin to the one we saw back in 2019 over Timo Werner.

Chelsea came out on top on that occasion, and you’d have to say that they’re favourites to win this race as well.

Romelu Lukaku and Werner haven’t lived up to expectations at Chelsea thus far, so there could be a real opening up top for the Blues.

Meanwhile, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino are already having their own battle to be Liverpool’s number nine, and it’s hard to imagine Dybala will want to get involved in that, especially as McGarry says he’s not been happy with his gametime in Turin.
