Well-known football journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that reported Arsenal target Thomas Partey has not made a decision on his future yet.
Romano, who works for Sky Sport and The Guardian, has said that Partey has not decided yet if he is staying at Atletico Madrid or leaving the Spanish club.
According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are interested in signing the 26-year-old defensive midfielder from Atletico in the summer transfer window.
The report claimed that the Ghana international has a release clause of £45 million in his contract.
Arsenal move?
Atletico are a massive club who challenge for the La Liga title and also compete in the Champions League on a regular basis.
While Arsenal are a global brand and are one of the biggest clubs in the world, the Gunners are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title anytime soon and may not be in the Champions League next season.
It may not be easy for the Gunners to tempt Partey this summer, especially if they are unable to muster up the high wages that the player is likely to demand.
