Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Duncan Castles has claimed that PSG are looking into the prospect of signing Mohamed Salah.
The Ligue 1 giants look set for a busy summer transfer window, and with Lionel Messi seemingly not coming in and Kylian Mbappe potentially heading out the door, they’re after another elite attacker.
Forwards don’t come any more elite than Mo Salah, and Castles believes that the Paris-based outfit are keen on signing the Egyptian.
“There is also an interest from Qatar, the nation state that owns PSG, in Mohamed Salah, for very obvious reasons. He’s the most popular player in the Arabic world, maybe the most popular sportsman. You have to include them as contenders for Salah’s signature, especially in a market where there are only two clubs who have proper resources to throw at transfers, Man City and PSG,” Castles said.
“We are talking about a situation where Liverpool know and have been planning for the exit of Salah or Mane when the right numbers came in.”
Castles then went on to speak about Salah’s previous comments in the Spanish press and his contract situation before coming back to speak about PSG’s interest.
“He should not be excluded as an option for PSG now that it looks like Messi isn’t going to happen and they have this Mbappe problem to solve.”

There are few players in world football who can have a similar impact to someone like Messi or Mbappe, but Salah is certainly one of those players.
The Egyptian is a top-level attacker, so it’s no surprise to see him linked to some of the top clubs in world football.
Of course, whether or not he leaves Liverpool remains to be seen, but with PSG having a seemingly endless supply of cash behind them, they may be able to convince him to leave Anfield this summer.
