So far this season, Jack Harrison hasn’t looked himself after completing a permanent move to Leeds from Manchester City.
The £11m man shone last term with eight goals and eight assists in 36 Premier League appearances.
However, Harrison has failed to record a single goal involvement in seven Premier League outings this term.
The Athletic‘s Phil Hay has revealed a potential reason for this poor form.
What’s the story?
Well, the Leeds correspondent shared that Harrison has been playing with a rib injury, and it could be affecting his performances.
Hay wrote: “Harrison has had a rib injury recently. Very little been made of it and I don’t know how much of a factor it is but he is struggling for form.”
Now, a rib injury is a very delicate thing, as there’s not much you can do about it apart from rest.

In that respect, Harrison surely isn’t doing himself any favours by continuing to play in Marcelo Bielsa’s demanding system.
Why did Leeds play Jack Harrison for 90 minutes last night?
In last night’s Carabao Cup defeat to Arsenal, Bielsa gave Harrison 90 minutes of action as the Gunners recorded a 2-0 win.
Now, that seems like a bizarre decision seeing as the 24-year-old is struggling with a rib problem.
Bielsa put out a strong team last night, but with Harrison suffering, we’re puzzled as to why Crysencio Summerville wasn’t given a chance.

After all, Cody Drameh was handed a first-team debut, so why not the Dutchman?
Summerville has already made four Premier League appearances this season, so Bielsa clearly feels he’s ready for first-team action.
If Harrison has now done more damage to his ribs, then questions should be asked at Elland Road.
