Speaking on the Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, journalist Alasdair Gold has remarkably suggested that Harry Kane could sign a new deal with Spurs.
The striker has been linked with a move away from north London all summer, but with a deal proving hard to strike, there are now reportedly noises coming out of Kane’s camp that a new contract shouldn’t be ruled out.

Gold gave an update on Kane’s situation.
“I’m intrigued to see where this goes now for Kane and camp Kane as it were, the people around him. There are little bits of noises coming out of his camp not to entirely rule out a new contract for him, which would be an incredible U-turn and turnaround, and for me, the prospect of that is incredible because there are other elements to that. If you’re going to stay, why not get more money, that makes sense, and if you look at what Spurs are trying to do in the transfer market, you can kind of say something exciting is happening there,” Gold said.

As Gold says, this would be an absolutely incredible turn of events.
Everything we’ve heard all summer has suggested that Kane wants to leave, from the initial reports, to the now infamous Gary Neville interview to stories being leaked from his brother’s wedding.
However, now it seems as though a new contract could be on the cards, and if the striker were to put pen to paper that would be absolutely staggering.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
