Speaking on his YouTube channel, Goal journalist Charles Watts has shared the feeling at Arsenal about Mat Ryan.
It’s been reported that Arsenal want to bring the Australian back after his initial loan spell last season, and Watts says that everyone at Arsenal has been waxing-lyrical about the goalkeeper.
What’s been said?
Watts says that Arsenal want Ryan back, claiming that everyone at the club absolutely loves the 29-year-old.
“Mat Ryan, they would like to get him back next season, he has to decide what he wants to do, does he want to come back and play second-fiddle for someone? He did that last season and did very well and everyone at Arsenal loves Mat Ryan, everyone I’ve spoken to about him says the way he handled himself the way he performed and when he got an opportunity and the way he performed off the pitch and the way he handled himself off the pitch, he was a top professional, impressed so many people and that’s why Arsenal are very keen to get him back,” Watts said.

Get him back
If everyone at Arsenal loves Ryan they should get him back this summer.
The goalkeeper is a handy back-up option, and if Bernd Leno is indeed on his way this summer, the Gunners could do worse than signing Ryan.
Sometimes people who are good influences on the dressing room are just as important as the star players at a club, and it seems as though Ryan is the type of player who lifts everyone’s mood.
Edu should probably have a look at bringing him back to the Emirates this summer.
