Journalist claims Everton leading race for £35m player Newcastle United reportedly want

Well-known journalist Emanuele Cammaroto has said that Everton are in pole position to sign Napoli midfielder Allan, who is also reported to be on the radar of Newcastle United as well, as quoted in Area Napoli.

According to Area Napoli, Newcastle are interested in signing Allan from Napoli in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that the Magpies will have to pay €40 million (£35.46 million) as transfer fee for the 29-year-old central midfielder.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Everton are interested in signing the Brazil international central midfielder this summer.

Journalist Cammaroto has now told Area Napoli that the Toffees are in pole position for the signature of Allan, with Napoli willing to sell the former Udinese star.

Football in England and Italy is suspended at the moment, and it is not clear when the summer transfer window will open.

According to WhoScored, Allan has made 14 starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Napoli so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.

The central midfielder has also made five starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League for the Naples-based outfit, according to WhoScored.
