Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Dean Jones has shared what he’s heard about Pedro Neto amid links to Arsenal.
According to Jones, Arsenal aren’t the only club that have been offered the chance to sign Neto this summer. The journalist states that Neto’s agents have been pitching their client to a number of clubs in a unique manner.
Indeed, Jones says that Neto’s representatives have been telling potential suitors that the winger will go on to become even better than Diogo Jota – another Gestifute client who has hit some incredible heights since joining Liverpool.

Jones spoke about Neto and how he’s being sold to other clubs as a better player than Jota.
“The comparison has been made to Diogo Jota, he was offered to a few clubs before Liverpool did it and he’s taken off at Liverpool and hit levels quicker than people realised he would. Agents are saying ‘you thought Jota was going to be good, and he is, but this guy (Neto) will be better, he will be an upgrade on what he is capable of, do you want to miss out on that?” This is being pushed a lot,” Jones said.
Mendes up to his tricks
It’s interesting to hear that Neto is being sold in this manner. That is until you realise that he’s being represented by Jorge Mendes.
Say what you will about Mendes, but he knows how to sell his clients, and claiming that Neto has a higher ceiling than Jota is certainly a huge selling point.
Of course, Jota may have something to say to his agent when he hears he’s been saying this about his former Wolves teammate, but as a buying club, this is exactly the type of thing you want to hear.
Whether or not Neto becomes as good as Jota remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, he has bags of potential waiting to be fulfilled.
