Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, journalist Ian McGarry has claimed that Arsenal are looking at Christophe Galtier and Brendan Rodgers as options to replace Mikel Arteta.
Arteta is in trouble at Arsenal. The Gunners are bottom of the league, and if this continues for much longer it’s hard to imagine he’ll be able to continue in this job.
According to McGarry, Arsenal are already looking at two options in Galtier and Rodgers.
What’s been said?
The journalist claims Arsenal have already had a look at two managers.
“It is again our information that Arsenal have begun to look at possibilities in terms of replacing Arteta. Christophe Galtier, who of course won the Ligue 1 title with Lille and has since moved to Nice is being considered. Brendan Rodgers who turned down the opportunity to join Tottenham, is also someone they’re looking at,” McGarry said

Tough to get
Galtier and Rodgers would both be good options for the Gunners, but it’s hard to imagine that either of them would accept a job at the Emirates.
Think about it, Galtier has only just joined Nice, so it’s not likely that he’ll want to jump ship after just a few months, while Rodgers turned down Tottenham this summer.
With all due respect to Arsenal, we can’t see what they can offer that Spurs couldn’t and in all honesty, the 48-year-old has a better chance of tasting success at Leicester than Arsenal.
If Arteta is to go, Arsenal may have a tough task finding the right man to replace him.
