According to Furio Docolari, Dusan Vlahovic will now join Tottenham, not Arsenal, following the arrival of Antonio Conte in north London.

What’s the story?

Well, Conte is among the best coaches in Europe, so it doesn’t surprise us to hear that Tottenham now have a serious pull factor in the dugout.

Sadly for Arsenal, it means they could miss out on one of the hottest strikers in Europe.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Gunners are considering a January bid.

However, they perhaps shouldn’t bother, as Docolari believes Conte will lure the 12-cap Serbia international to Hotspur Way.

Docolari told CMIT TV: “I don’t think Vlahovic will go to Juventus. I think he will go to Tottenham, given the arrival of Conte. Vlahovic is a top player.”

If true, then this is significant news for Spurs.

There was already something of a power shift taking place under Mauricio Pochettino, and if Conte can attract players like Vlahovic, we’re sure that gap on north London will soon open up once again.

What would Arsenal lose out on if Tottenham signed Dusan Vlahovic?

If Mikel Arteta loses the 21-year-old to Conte, he should be furious – Vlahovic has potential to win the Ballon d’Or one day, in our view.

The wonderkid scored 21 goals in Serie A last season, winning the Young Player of the Year award in Italy’s top-flight.

Impressively, Vlahovic has followed that phenomenal campaign up with a strong start this term, netting ten goals in 12 appearances.

Fiorentina want £60m for their No.9, which is a fair price given the striker’s excellent efforts across the last 18 months.

Only time will tell if Daniel Levy decides to get his chequebook out for Conte.
