Timo Werner has four main reasons behind being ‘desperate’ to join Liverpool, according to London Evening Standard journalist David Lynch.

Werner has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool heading into the summer transfer window, and the German forward is now very eager to join them according to the latest update.

Werner is said to be very keen to work with Jurgen Klopp, who he feels is an ideal manager for him.

The 24-year-old also wants to play in the Premier League, and is said to believe that Liverpool’s style suits him down to the ground.

Liverpool love to counter attack and press intensely, and Werner’s qualities could be the ideal fit.

Werner is blessed with great pace, and thrives off playing on the shoulder of the last man, which could make Liverpool even more of a threat.

Werner’s fourth reason for wanting to join Liverpool is said to be because he knows just how highly RB Leipzig think of the Reds.

Leipzig dealt with Liverpool recently in a deal with Naby Keita, and the two clubs are said to have good connections now, making a deal even more likely.
