Alasdair Gold has been previewing the early kick-off in the Premier League this afternoon, as Tottenham take on Leeds at Elland Road.
The Football London journalist shared some interesting team news, and it could be a big day for one Tottenham prodigy in particular.
What’s the story?
Well, Gold revealed that Alfie Devine has travelled to Yorkshire with the Tottenham first-team squad.
The 17-year-old has clearly done something to impress Antonio Conte, and the teenager could now be in line for his Premier League debut.
It wouldn’t be a first-team debut for Devine, as that was already handed to him by José Mourinho in January 2021, when Spurs faced Marine in the FA Cup.
Impressively, the Tottenham wonderkid scored in that 5-0 rout.
Devine never earned a Premier League debut as a result of that goal, however, so he is still yet to reach that special landmark.
Alfie Devine deserves a chance at Tottenham

In our view, Conte should start to give Devine regular first-team action.
The Warrington-born prospect has been on fire at Under-23 level this season, scoring seven goals in 12 Premier League 2 outings, while also providing three assists.

In truth, the fact that Devine is playing for the Under-23 side at the age of 17 is impressive enough, let alone the fact he’s shining at that level.
Clearly, Spurs have a huge prospect on their hands, who Conte needs to look after.
