Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Bayern Munich will make a real effort to sign Harry Kane next summer, with the Tottenham star being linked with the German giants this year.
Speaking with Sky Italia, the German journalist revealed that the England captain will be a target for Bayern in 2023, with the Bundesliga champions struggling this season already following the departure of Robert Lewandowski, with the Bavarian side lacking a real no. 9.
With Kane’s contract at Tottenham expiring in 2024, next summer could be the last opportunity Daniel Levy has to land an astronomical fee for his star striker, who turns 30 next July, with Bayern likely to match Spurs’ asking price as well as better his reported £200,000-a-week wages.
Any move could hinge on Tottenham’s success this season, though, and with Antonio Conte’s side yet to lose in the Premier League and this weekend winning 6-2 against Leicester City, Kane could well reject a move to Bayern if the German club make a move to sign the 29-year-old superstar.

Indeed Bayern signing Kane would be one heck of a feat from the Bundesliga titans, and according to Florian Plettenberg, the Bavarian side are already making plans to target the Tottenham striker next summer in what would be a blockbuster deal for the Bundesliga.
The German journalist said when asked if Bayern will sign a striker next summer: “I am convinced that Kane will be Bayern Munich’s real market target next summer. It will depend on the player’s performance this season, but Bayern has the money. Coman, Mane, Gnabry are there, but a no. 9 is missing.”
Bayern signing Kane will come down to if Tottenham winning silverware

Kane is on track to become the Premier League’s all-time record goalscorer, with the England captain always inching closer to breaking Alan Shearer’s incredible tally in the top-flight, yet despite this insane personal accolade, silverware still alludes the England captain at club level, and this could be what wins Bayern the striker’s signature.
After all, Kane is one of the best attacker’s England has ever produced, and the forward himself would like to see his career amount to something in the form of trophies, something Tottenham have not won 2008 in the form of the League Cup, and Conte will be under pressure to win something this season.
