Diogo Jota has named Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas as Liverpool’s funniest players.
Jurgen Klopp has a squad brimming with big characters.
And we know this because you don’t win a Champions League and Premier League in back-to-back seasons without notable personalities on the scene.
Robertson and Tsimikas, however, are the jokers of the pack.
At least, that is according to Jota, who said on Twitch tonight.
He said: “I would have to say two of our left-backs. Robbo and Tsimikas are very funny. I have to tell you Tsimikas is a very funny guy, we love him in the dressing room!”
Rivals
Joking aside, Robertson and Tsimikas are also big rivals.
They are both left-backs and the Scot will have been surprised by how much Tsimikas is pushing him these days.
The Greece international barely played for Liverpool last season after a move from Olympiacos.
But this season, Tsimikas is looking like a different animal and Robertson knows he’ll have to buck up his ideas.
Having said that, the former Hull defender did just that on Saturday when Klopp’s side hammered Southampton 4-0 at Anfield.
He was immense down Liverpool’s left-hand side and it just goes to show the importance of in-squad competition because, without Tsimikas, Robertson doesn’t post a display like that.
