Joshua Zirkzee posts one-word reaction as Arsenal talent scores yet again for loan club

Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee has shown his support for Arsenal talent Mika Biereth as he continues to shine for Sturm Graz.

Arsenal are likely to be in the market for another striker this summer.

Kai Havertz has fared well of late but Gabriel Jesus has suffered multiple injury problems and Eddie Nketiah doesn’t seem to be at the level Arsenal need.

There have been links to a host of strikers, including Joshua Zirkzee.

The Telegraph suggested in January that Arsenal were looking into a £50million move for the Bologna hitman for the end of the season.

The Dutchman has hit 10 goals in 27 Serie A games this season and has impressed with his technical ability for such a tall striker.

Maybe Zirkzee is the man Arsenal will target this summer, but the man himself has been impressed with a striker already on the Gunners books…

Joshua Zirkzee impressed with Mika Biereth

The man in question is Mika Biereth, who is currently on loan at Sturm Graz from Arsenal.

The former Fulham talent enjoyed a superb first half of the season on loan at Motherwell, hitting six goals and five assists in 15 games.

Arsenal decided to recall Biereth and send him elsewhere, paving the way for a loan move to Austria with Sturm Graz.

The Dane can’t stop scoring and hit a brace in Sunday’s 4-0 win over Austria Klagenfurt.

That is now eight goals in just 11 games for Sturm Graz, including one in the Europa League against Lille on Thursday.

Biereth is on fire at the moment and he celebrated his latest brace on Instagram, posting photos alongside the captain ‘dopplepack’.

Arsenal youngsters such as Alex Kirk, Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Charles Sagoe Jr and Khayon Edwards all showed their admiration for the striker as he continues to score.

There was even a message from Zirkzee, who simply posted ‘Him’ after seeing Biereth continue his hot streak.

It’s unclear just how Zirkzee and Biereth would know each other as the pair haven’t crossed paths at club level, but the Bologna hitman clearly likes what he is seeing.

Maybe there will be scope for both Zirkzee and Biereth to become leading strikers at Arsenal, but the Gunners face big decisions on both players in the coming months.
