Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has admitted to The Scottish Sun that he does not know much about the Celtic players.

German and European giants Bayern will face the Glasgow powerhouse at the Allianz Arena in Champions League Group B on Wednesday evening.

Kimmich, who is 22 years of age and can operate as a central midfielder or as a right-back, has admitted that he does not know much about the Celtic players

The Germany international, though, has said that he and his teammates that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is a top manager.

Rodgers was appointed the Celtic manager in the summer of 2016 following the departure of Ronny Deila at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The former Swansea City boss guided the Hoops to the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup success last season.

The current Celtic boss also almost led Liverpool to the Premier League title during the 2013-14 campaign.

“I don’t know too much about the Celtic players, but the coach will do the analysis before the game and we know Brendan Rodgers is a top manager,” Kimmich told The Scottish Sun.

“But we are aiming to win the game and take a step closer to qualification. These will be two good games.

“I am also looking forward to going to Glasgow, as everyone knows the atmosphere there is special.”
