Josh Windass has been a revelation for Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers in recent months.

Rangers playmaker Josh Windass proved that he was indeed human on Saturday.

The 24-year-old was not among the goals as Rangers beat Hearts 2-0 at Ibrox, having missed a couple of good chances to prolong his outstanding run of goalscoring form.

Windass took his total for the season to 15 in all competitions with a hat-trick away to Hamilton last week to make it nine goals in his last five.

His confidence has never been higher and one tweet from the English attacker summed this up after his performance against the Jambos.

One Rangers fan on Twitter suggested that it simply wasn’t his day, and Windass’s response spoke volumes for how much belief that manager Graeme Murty has instilled in him.

The former Accrington Stanley ace is clearly a player reborn since the 43-year-old took over from Pedro Caixinha in October.

Under Caixinha, Windass had only scored once this season, meaning that 14 of his 15-goal haul have come under the former Reading defender.

That might be linked to the fact that Caixinha often played him on the wing, whereas Murty has given him a number 10 role, and it’s almost impossible to imagine him writing that tweet during Caixinha’s ill-fated reign in Glasgow.
