Dean Windass told Rangers boss Mark Warburton to build his side around his son at Ibrox.

Rangers take on Ross County later today, hoping to put their Old Firm disaster from last weekend firmly behind them.
One man who did impress, despite the 5-1 loss, for Rangers in that fixture was midfielder Josh Windass.
The summer signing from Accrington Stanley received praise from Rangers boss Mark Warburton after the game and was clearly one of the only high points from the fixture.
Windass is of course the son of former Hull City hero Dean Windass – who has a very high opinion of his child.
Earlier this week he told the Press Association that Rangers should build their team around his son.
Speaking to the Rangers official website this week Josh admitted he has told his old man to stay quiet in the media – but to little effect:
“I’ve told my Dad millions of times not to do interviews but he just does what he wants so he can say what he wants.
“He has his own opinion and he’s not going to come out and say I should be on the bench so it’s just stupid dad comments!”

It is good to see Josh have such good support from his dad.
But Mark Warburton would not be going wrong to give Windass a more pivotal role at Ibrox now he is back to full fitness.
Rangers are slightly lacking in terms of energy in the middle of the park and Windass could hopefully counteract that point.
Rangers fans will just hope Windass’ good performances come regularly, and don’t go to waste.
