The midfielder is one of nine new signings vying for a role in Mark Warburton’s side next season.
Accrington Stanley’s Josh Windass
Josh Windass has told Rangers official website that he doesn’t feel any direct competition for his place in the current squad.
Windass is one of nine new faces to arrive at Ibrox this summer in a busy transfer window for Mark Warburton.
He has looked like a smart capture so far, with several strong performances across pre-season and in the Scottish Cup games to date.

However, he faces a fight to be a regular in the side next season given that central midfield is arguably the most competitive area of the current squad.
He though, says that he doesn’t feel there is any direct competition because a lot of the group play in more than position.
“I don’t feel I have any direct competition,” he told the club’s official website.
“A lot of the lads can play in two or three different positions so I don’t really look at an individual player and think he is my competition.”

It remains to be seen what role that Windass has to play for Rangers next season as they eye a title challenge.
While he says he doesn’t feel there is any direct competition for his place in the first team, a look at the current squad shows that it is there.
The signings of Niko Kranjcar and Joey Barton in particular mean that a regular place in the first team may be hard to come by across the campaign.
