The 22-year-old joined Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers in the summer.
Josh Windass has told Rangers TV that he enjoys the competitive element of Mark Warburton’s squad.
The 54-year-old added 12 new players to his squad in what was a very productive transfer window in the summer.
Windass was one of those dozen, arriving from Accrington Stanley after signing a pre-contract agreement back in January along with Matt Crooks.

With 11 Scottish Premiership games gone, there is still the sense that Warburton still does not really know his best XI, with the Rangers boss seemingly always making changes to the midfield in particular.
One reason for that is the fact that the ex-Brentford boss has so many stellar options – Windass being one of them – and the 22-year-old says he “kind of likes” the idea that nobody is safe from the chopping block at Rangers.
He told the club’s online channel: ““I prefer it to be honest,” he said when asked about the in-squad rivalry for places. Someone is behind you and if you are not doing well then someone is going to step in your place straight away.

“I kind of like the feeling that you have to do well, it makes you push yourself even more.”
Windass has arguably been the best of Rangers’ 12 signings, and he grabbed two assists in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Kilmarnock at Ibrox.
Injury has limited him to just four Premiership starts, but he has invariably looked a classy player for the Gers and the fans will be hoping to see even more of him as the season progresses, fitness permitting.
