Glasgow Rangers received a boost this week when injury prone midfielder Jordan Rossiter made his return to training.

The club announced this with a sense of accomplishment, with the former England youth international making a significant step.

Rossiter was welcomed back by teammate Josh Windass, who took to Twitter to celebrate.

Rossiter signed for Rangers from Liverpool in 2016 and had hoped by now to be a first team regular at Ibrox.

He has not played for Rangers since September, being sidelined with a calf injury ever since.

Rossiter has made only 10 competitive appearances for the Light Blues since joining.

His place in the side is now under threat from new signing Sean Goss, who is on loan from QPR.

Rossiter’s return is perfectly timed, but coaching staff and fans will not be taking anything for granted just yet.
